According to some basic thinking, motor vehicle movement is based on rolling wheels. It happens under the influence of various resistances and forces, and in road traffic it is conditioned by the shape and traffic elements of the road route. The various driving resistance forces (basic, external and internal) acting on the motor vehicle when moving must be overcome by the tractive force. Particular attention is paid to the movement of motor vehicles in a turn, where the effects of centrifugal and centripetal forces occur. Turning the vehicle at a speed greater than the speed limit determined by the design and structural elements of the route may cause the vehicle to become bogged down or overturned, which negatively affects the road traffic safety itself. In order to avoid this, the traffic-technical elements of the bend must be harmonized with the relevant motor vehicle, its technical characteristics, and the environmental conditions encountered in a particular area of the road.
