Abstract Motivacija je ključan čimbenik upravljanja ljudskim potencijalima baš zbog motivacije
samog zaposlenika.

motivation, in order for them to contribute to the functioning and achievement of
company goals. For employees, it encourages innovation and creativity, which also

requirements of the company in which they work, by fulfilling the wishes and needs.
Managers have a variety of techniques to choose from, but there is a need to focus and
choose the technique that best suits the company and its employees. The most
significant are material motivations, that is, compensations, which are divided into
direct and indirect. Direct compensation includes work rewards, such as regular and
timely monthly pay, additional incentives, pay increases depending on years of service.
Salary, that is, money, is the part of motivation that will interest the worker most. It is
defined as the amount of money that an employer is obliged to pay to a person in
employment for the work that he or she has done for him for a certain period of time,
and is regulated by a contract of employment. In relation to money, there are also
workers' remuneration regulated through employment contracts, a rulebook and a
collective agreement for an activity or enterprise, with specific rules for special awards
