Abstract
Mjesna samouprava je oblik sudjelovanja građana u upravljanju lokalnim poslovima. Mjesni se odbor osniva pomoću statuta jedinice lokalne samouprave i to kao oblik neposrednog sudjelovanja građana u odlučivanju o lokalnim poslovima od neposrednog i svakodnevnog utjecaja na život i rad svih građana. Mjesni odbori predstavljaju jedan od oblika organizacije mjesne samouprave te time predstavljaju model distribucije političke moći na lokalnoj razini. Mjesni odbor pravna je osoba. Tijela... More gradske četvrti su vijeće gradske četvrti i predsjednik vijeća gradske četvrti. U svakodnevici se često poistovjećuju pojmovi lokalna i mjesna samouprava, što je pogreška. Mjesna i lokalna samouprava najjasnije razlikuju se po veličini svojeg teritorija i po broju stanovnika te stupnju bliske povezanosti između njihovih potreba i aktivnosti. Local self-government is a form of citizen participation in the management of local affairs. The local committee is established by the statute of the local self-government unit as a form of direct participation of citizens in decision-making on local affairs of direct and daily influence on the life and work of citizens.
