Abstract
Cjevovodni transporteri podrazumijevaju transport tekućine ili plina na velike udaljenosti kroz sustav cijevi. Razlikuje se nekoliko vrsta cjevovodnog prometa: naftovodi, produktovodi, plinovodi i mlijekovodi. Pozitivne strane cjevovodnog transporta su te što se on smatra najsigurnijim i najekonomičnijim transportom nafte i plina, upravo zbog činjenice jer su troškovi transporta naftovodom u odnosu na troškove transporta željeznicom pet puta niži za naftu. Glavni nedostatak ovakve vrste transporta su visoka kapitalna ulaganja i sporost jer tekućina protječe brzinom oko 8 km/h, te nesavitljivost cijevi. Razvoj cjevovodnih transportera još sigurno nije dosegao svoj vrhunac, a očekuju se još brojne preinake i modernizacija istih.
Abstract (english)
Pipeline conveyors imply the transportation of liquid or gas over long distances through a system of pipes. There are several types of pipeline traffic: oil pipelines, product pipelines, gas pipelines and milk pipelines. The positive sides of pipeline transport are that it is considered the safest and most economical transport of oil and gas, precisely because the costs of oil pipeline transport are five times lower for oil compared to rail transport costs. The main disadvantage of this type of transport is the high capital investment and slowness, as the liquid flows at a speed of about 8 km/h, and the inflexibility of the pipe. The development of pipeline conveyors has certainly not yet reached its peak, and numerous modifications and modernizations are expected.
